Lobbying and Legislation Initiative Internship
We are actively looking for a professional and confident intern(s), with positive and enthusiastic approach to all assigned tasks. The lobbying and legislative push Intern(s) will contribute to establish the legislative foundation to be able to build our business on from our current status as a Start-up organization. Previous experiences in lobbying and legislative push and healthcare related experience is a plus. This position reports to the CEO and VP of Physician Associates organization.
Lobbying and Legislative aim to pass the Physician Associate (PhA) Act Initiative in California:
Purpose: We initiate three pathways for legislative goal: to pass the PhA Act at the Governor Office. It is to put the PhA Act onto the ballot aka the general election in near future; of note, these pathways do not have to exclude one another.
1- Via California State Office of the Secretary
2- Via California People representatives such as Senators and Assembly Members
3- Via significant organizations/associations/entities that have the legislative power to carry on this bill
In this position, you will need to:
- Be able to delineate a plan to collect signatures from California registered voters according to the general election regulation of California State Office of the Secretary. Or hiring collection firm to do this, but it requires a lot of money! Our current status seems unable to afford.
- To be able to lobbying for the PhA Act by various governmental and lobbying tools available not excluding media, internet, etc.
- Effectively connect with local and state governmental representatives of Californians as senators and assembly members asking them to carry on this Act
- Effectively connect with well-known organization/associations/entities that have the legislative power to carry on this
This is an unpaid internship position. Time commitment between 8H-15H a week
